While they could, would it not make more sense to make the streamer only part first?Bit of a long shot: Since many people love external DACs, could WiiM be making a DAC that's just a DAC as the other product?
Post Filter FeedBack technology. Check the FOSI description for V3 monoblockForgive my ignorance but what does PFFB do in layman's terms?
Yes and no.If it s a WiiM Amp Pro, or some sort of power amp, or some sort of headphone amp, I think everyone here will be excited.
I have both a WiiM and a pro plus, because Amp doesn't sound as nice as my main system, so it's used in a second system I would love a WiiM amp that works with my main system.Yes and no.
WiiM amp users may have mixed feelings.
WIIM active wireless speakers speakers, to undercut Sonos
You'd need a product that can outcompete Sonos though, and a single speaker wouldn't do that.Comparisons with Sonos have been a regular feature in WiiM reviews, and Sonos’ market is lucrative, to be sure.
You mean ... it will be some kind of countdown device or stop watch?Q. What will the ‘other’ new WiiM be this May?
A. Why not just wait and see?
I suggested that in the Just a reminder thread, if it is then they've kept it under wraps rather wellI recall seeing speculation in the Wiim Ultra thread, where someone had speculated a 5.1 receiver, and that response was 'liked' by the Wiim Team. That's my guess.
Sonos has been teasing a headphone for some time now. Rumored to be released in June. A similar Wiim product to compete for market share? You'd need a product that can outcompete Sonos though, and a single speaker wouldn't do that.
I wouldn't say I'm "converted", but I have both and they coexist without difficulty. Not to mention you'd need it to be good enough to convert people already invested into Sonos.
Right now, the lack of compatible active speakers is a real hole in the Wiim lineup and a blocker for me recommending Wiim over Sonos for anyone who needs a mix of built-in and standalone speakers for whole house audio.WIIM active wireless speakers speakers, to undercut Sonos
Something like a Wiim branded version of this ?Right now, the lack of compatible active speakers is a real hole in the Wiim lineup and a blocker for me recommending Wiim over Sonos for anyone who needs a mix of built-in and standalone speakers for whole house audio.
Linkplay have a long history of similar products - they are a systems integrator using modules they manufacture in a wide variety of devices. It doesn’t necessarily follow that what they do for other vendors they’ll do for WiiM devices.Something like a Wiim branded version of this ?
Linkplay Radio/Speaker launched
The Roberts Stream 95i has just been launched - seems to be a lot different to their previous models - 93i and 94i etc https://www.robertsradio.com/en-gb/stream-95i Stream 95i user guides and manuals are up on the Roberts technical site giving a bit more insight into it's capabilities...forum.wiimhome.com
Integrate both via LMS (Lyrion) - excellent combination!Sonos has been teasing a headphone for some time now. Rumored to be released in June. A similar Wiim product to compete for market share?

Well, blow me down! . I've got 5 of those without knowing they're all Linkplay!Linkplay have a long history of similar products - they are a systems integrator using modules they manufacture in a wide variety of devices.
