What's your setup/configuration look like?

The WiiM Pro streams Amazon HD to a Topping DX3 Preamp/DAC outputting the signal to a Decware SET amp driving Tekton Fostex full range single drivers. There's another Tekton on a second bookcase on the other side of the room. Bass support is provided by a Parts Express kit sub not shown in the picture. A 4k Fire Stick streams to the TV with the TV's optical output connected to the DX3. A Sony DVD player is under the TV which is also connected to the DAC. Thankfully the Topping has two coax inputs as well as an optical.

You can see the DIY sub in this picture as well as the F-15/Alpha open baffles powered by Bottle Head 2a3 mono blocks receiving its signal from a Node 2i via a Fosi ZD3 DAC.

My current setup:

WiiM Ultra > Topping E70 DAC > Topping A70 Pro pre/HPA > Ayre V-5XE amplifier > Børresen X3 speakers. Incredible sound with this combination.

Hello everyone,

So here's my installation in a few lines:
  • Marantz CD-42mkll
  • Wiim Ultra (Tidal & USB HDD 2To FLAC)
  • Heed Elixir
  • KEF LS50 with iso acoustics stand
  • LG Oled C4 (HDMI Arc)
The Wiim Ultra has replaced the Daphile & Arcam IrDac couple for a few months.

This is great! Would you mind if we shared the picture on our Instagram?

WiiM Pro Plus feeding a vintage DAT player as a DAC (IMO sounds better) and then going to a few choices of amps from a couple solid states to a single ended tube amp then finally ending up to a pair of large DIY open baffles I designed and built in 2018 (evolution of what I built in 2013). They are 6'3" tall and 35" wide and 3.5" thick baffles, each with 2x15",2x10" and a compression driver/waveguide for highs. Pro drivers so fairly efficient.20240809-103920.jpg

Would be great to see some pictures of your setup with WiiM product and exact audio configuration to give others some ideas and recommendations:cool:.
My setup is modest but meets my needs. It consists of a WiiM Mini, with Aux In coming from a preamp which is connected to my JVC turntable (which I purchased in 1979), and Aux Out feeding into an 11-year-old Bose Wave Radio, which has pretty impressive sound for its size, thanks to acoustic research by Bose.

Rounding the whole setup out is a DLNA server running on a Raspberry Pi (which is a small system-on-chip computer originally sold for educational purposes), allowing me to play my entire CD library. So I have access to all my media in one form or another, largely consisting of 20th Century classical music (primarily American and British) and the French Impressionists (who straddle the turn of the 20th Century). And I also like A very few Broadway musicals (don't hate me!).

Plus free content from Amazon Music, where I have access to all manner of jazz from the 1930s through 1960s and beyond.

Then there's various radio stations to listen to as well, from TuneIn, vTuner and BBC Radio.

I had been trying for a couple years to get Rune Audio (also running on a Raspberry Pi) to work as a client for my DLNA server in the role which the WiiM Mini Is now functioning. But it was always crashing and then I had to rebuild the media library and it was a big pain.

Things are so different with the WiiM Mini, I have access to everything literally at my fingertips! The WiiM Mini absolutely NEVER crashes! There are some enhancements that I would like to see to the WiiM Home app, but I'm not complaining.

My Wiim Ultra unfortunately does not get the position it deserves at the moment. Some 15 years ago, i switched to analog. Tube amp, vinyl record player etc.. Bought the Ultra for convenience, but now, with this affordable purchase i suddenly mostly listening to Tidal, with headphones 🤔

Should i place the Ultra a bit more prominent? What happens when visitors asking why i'am obviously hiding my digital stuff? Well?

Hey! The Ultra Sounds simply brilliant .
