What's your setup/configuration look like?

I have a spare Lyngdorf power amp in its box in the attic. Maybe I should put it on display in my otherwise frugal setup. The space is there🤔.

Hi @HoosierHiFi
Sorry for the delay. You're close, but it's not the Octo. It's the D70 Pro Sabre. I preferred it to the Octo, even though it cost more, because it seems to sound better. More detail and a better soundstage.
Just out of curiosity, I've now set my sights on this Fiio Warmer, which hasn't arrived in Europe yet, rumored to be early December.
I'm really intrigued because it's a pure DAC, without amplification or preamplification, and...it's a tube r2r!!
A tube DAC is something I've never seen before. Considering the price, it's around €350-370 € I want to give it a try, especially since Fiio makes excellent products. Another thing is that the Meters are analog, that is, real Meters and not digital ones represented on a screen.
I have the K11 r2r and even though it costs half the price of the D70 I would say it has nothing to envy to the D70 Pro Sabre. The K11 is the DAC that I currently use the most.

I looked at the Sabre but decided to go with the Octo. So far I’m really liking it. I really like the spectral analyzer display. It pairs nicely with the album and track info displayed on the ultra. The FiiO tube r2r dac sounds interesting. Good luck tracking one down. I look forward to hearing more about it once you find one.

Hi
No, no, tracking one down is easy. It's for sale on Alibaba, but I don't trust it. I'm waiting for it to be released in Europe, which should be in early December. Then I'll wait to read several reviews to get a more precise idea. Once I've done that, I'll decide what to do. ;)

When you connect the USB output of the Wiim to your Yamaha CD-S2100, is it recognized and outputting?
I am contacting you because my Wiim device does not recognize USB.
Sorry, took me over a month to see your question. I do not use the Yamaha CD-S2100 usb port at all, only the balanced outputs are connected to a MiniDSP Adept which then again is connected to the WiiM Ultra opt input.
