What's your setup/configuration look like?

Slight update to my main system. Moved my amp ultra into the office system and the ultra + vibelnk into this one. Also added my Yamaha as501 back in, with a speaker switch to swap between it and the vibelink. Vibelink will be used mainly for tv/movies and casual listening, and Yamaha for more dedicated listening sessions. Other gear is Yamaha cd player, QAcoustics 3030i speakers and tonewinner sub.

Couple of shots from my setup and it should be apparent that vinyls and gaming are pretty domineering here. Yamaha surround processor is placeholder waiting for repairs and relocation.

Consoles etc. are connected to TV via HDMI and television sound output into Ultra via optical (no free HDMI's for ARC :D ) Ultra drives the CA DAC. Still keeping the CA as the separation of mains and device powers is usually better idea - need to try WiiM without CA at some point though.

Missing from the picture is my venerable Creek OBH-8SE phono stage - lies hidden in the rack and as with the DAC will undergo listening test against Ultra at some point as well.

Another missing piece is my beloved L-75 turntable, which is still waiting for the half century maintenanance - so many projects, so little time due full time job.

Going forward I'm considering couple of Sounds (Lites ofc), or even three for 4.0 or 5.0 setup, B&W's have plenty enough bass for block of flats. Some kind of surround setup would benefit gaming and movies anyways.

That's a nice set up you've got, though if it were mine I'd be looking for a way to move the warmer off the ultra (purely for aesthetics!). How do you like the kupids? I've been considering a pair for my office system.
Haha yes moving the warmer is indeed priority , but I haven't found the rack that I like..
As for the kupids , I find it amazing for it small size , maybe I'm Dali bias too , I have the Oberon 7 before , but now I prefer small speaker with subwoofer , if you looking for smaller speaker from Dali maybe the new Sonik 1 , Oberon 1 or the more pricier Menuet SE..

Try listen to this comparison Sonik Vs Kupid

Have you considered making a basic rack yourself? I've done this (the cabinet insert in the photo posted previously) and it's worked out well, despite me having very limited woodwork skills!
I'm a dali fan too; currently running spektor 2s in my office but have been considering changing to either kupids or the sonik 1, which I really like the look of.

I really like your use of those Ikea Eket shelving boxes, @apit9nine. A late friend of mine lay one of the tall ones with door flat, replaced the back wall with Hypex Fusion amplifier modules (an exact fit), put a Squeezebox Touch and a cheap topping DAC behind the door and drove a four way system made up of four gutted Magnepans and two closed box subwoofers with it. That was his secondary system.

Well hello Dali fan , then in your case if you can't decide which sound best , just go with which look best to you..

Thanks. Right , those Eket shelves for me is versatile , can easily change the orientation and it's amazing your friend manage to do that..

That's a nicely recorded comparison between the Dali Sonik 1 & Kupid. I just listened to the same (first) song (Gregory Porter - Hey Laura) and the Sonik 1s got it right, good integration between the woofer/mid and the tweeter, no overshoots in the crossover region. The Kupid is not that great. The tweeters seem to play too loud and the high-mids are fairly peaky.
