After setting up the amp in my bedroom system and studying the documentation I discovered that the Wiim Amp Pro's bass management can be set up as a 4th order Linkwitz-Riley crossover. I have a pair of Quad ESL-63 speakers in my living room that are famous for incredible sound quality, but limited bass output and SPL. I use the Quads with an SVS 3000 Micro subwoofer to get the bass the Quads can't produce.

I took the amp out of the bedroom and hooked it up to the Quads and the sub, setting the crossover frequency to 150 Hz (still deciding if I want it to be lower), then I ran RoomFit and bass sync and it works and sounds great. By keeping the lower octaves out of the Quads they can play louder with the same low distortion they are famous for, and the sub easily handles the low frequencies.

All of it, including the sub, can be set up from my listening chair using my phone. Now when I want to listen to music, I take my phone out of my pocket, select the music on my own LMS server or Tidal, and the amp and sub wake up and start playing. When the music ends they go back into standby mode. It couldn't be simpler. There are no buttons to push and no remote controls to juggle. The amp can be put in a cabinet or under furniture, out of sight. I can't imagine a better way to set up and control a stereo system.

Here's my test set-up, the amp and sub will be relocated and wires hidden once I have decided on final locations for the amp and sub.

Nice. That setup must sound sweet.
It's pretty good! Now I have to decide if I'm going to keep the B&Ws and some of the other audio gear that's currently in the room, and decide if I need to buy another amp for the bedroom or if I'm going to keep swapping this one back and forth.
