Now that you have released information about the upcoming WiiM Amp Pro, I guess you will be thinking of joining the WiiM Ultra with a PFFB amplifier section.

One comment from my side: It would be nice if you could keep the form factor of the WiiM Ultra and integrate an amplifier module. I know that space is limited, but I would prefer to have an external PSU than having a bigger case. Almost all affordable Class D amps come with external PSU. I would not be sad if you do this the same way to allow for creation of a compact WiiM Amp Ultra.

Seems like the next logical iteration for me as well: an amplifier with the screen and the IO of the Ultra, a truly all-in-one.
And with increased power? A while ago WiiM talked about releasing a 60w and a 110w version of their amp for the custom installation market, so maybe we’ll see the latter appear in a consumer model as you describe.

I would love to see a basic amp in the same form factor as the WiiM Ultra. No screen, no volume knob, just rca inputs, speaker binding post outputs and 12V trigger.
You mean without any of the smarts? WiiM Poweramp? Has been suggested a few times, but yes, would've been nice to have as an option!

And any integrated with "Pro" or "Ultra" in the name should have pre-out RCAs for flexibility.

I think the WiiM amp pro is essentially an integrated. It does not have pre-outs though. I'm looking for a straight up power amp to use with the WiiM ultra as a pre amp.

I agree -- a basic amp (with or without a volume control) would be nice. While I like the idea of the power & performance of the Amp Pro, since I already have an Ultra (and a Mini, Pro & Pro+), I would be paying extra for a lot of duplicate features in the Amp Pro. Right now I have an Aiyima A70 which provides the needed power, has PFFT and allows for 12 volt trigger control. The Ultra has the same DAC chip, Room EQ and provides for subwoofer control like the Amp Pro, and I can control volume through the WiiM App or remote via the Ultra. I wouldn't use any of the other Amp Pro features. Frankly, the only reason for me to consider an Amp Pro is that it looks more "WiiMish" than the amp I have now, and even then it is a different size than the Ultra so you wouldn't even get perfect stackability.

But, you can't be everything for everybody....

I like the idea too. My version: a pair of mono amps, same size/color as the wiim ultra, internal power supplies, between 50 and 100W/8 ohms each. Something in line with the wiim's price points, usable with appropriate speakers (not too esoteric, not too basic).

A Wiim power amp is a great idea, or a Wiim Ultra Amp. Either way, I think they must get away from using the TPA3255 chip and put a proper decent module in from Hypex or Purify to get the distortion figures down and the power up.

I’d want at least 150W @8ohm and doubling into 4ohm.

Something like ZeroZone IRS2092? I read many good things about these (cheap) mono amplifiers. But I am a bit afraid to buy from China (or eBay): from an object that uses electricity I want reliability and safety. I'd prefer something similar Wiim branded.

I guess a Hypex or Purifi module would require a much bigger form factor. But it would be nice.

In my opinion, a good TPA3255 implementation with PFFB and a lot of power would be sufficient.
