wiim amp version 2 (ultra?)

I hope that soon a wiim amp 2 will come out with min. 2x100w 8ohm (2x200w 4ohm)
- i use the wiim amp with my buchardt audio p300 and am satisfied but a little more wattage would be ideal
There is certainly demand from others who would like the wiim amp with a little more power.
Does anyone have any information on when this will be realized in 2025?

How do you expect anyone to have info about a product which does not yet exist?

Not sure what you want to know about the Ultra, but if you need the extra power, better to go with that and pair it with a separate power amplifier suited to your needs.

Watts aren't everything, the WiiM amp pro sounds a lot better than the original, and has the same wattage.

Neither sound as good as some of my vintage kit which is 40 watts, and happily spends all day driving a 140w speaker set.

An ultra amp would be interesting to see what they change though.

Yes, but this very much depends on your speakers, as I think some of it comes from the PFFB.

Though the new DAC helps too!

I think the PFFB affects frequencies I can't hear

PFFB affects how the amplifier reacts to different loads. Without this, class D amps behave differently with different with speakers.

As such whether you notice any improvement due to PFFB depends on your speaker. However the amp pro also has the same dac as the ultra, which is a step up from the basic amp, and this difference you should notice regardless.

wim amp pro will arrive tomorrow and then i can compare and test what comes out of the buchardt audio p300 all day long.
wiim amp pro and wiim amp non pro ;-)

the wiim amp pro arrived today and i immediately put it on top of the wiim amp. everything feels more valuable (heavier). i think the cooling has also improved.

i use the wiim amp (pro) on average 8-12 hours a day. the new dac and the filters definitely have an effect and i feel more pressure and clearer "stereo"

then i can sell the old wiim amp, although it's still awesome.
