Hi everyone! We've just released a version of the WiiM Home app to the Amazon App Store! This version supports the following Amazon Fire Tablet models:

Downloaded and running on Fire Max 11 - generally looking good but font size inconsistent across pages, larger on some screens than others.

Also noted I was offered the WiiM TV app when I searched for WiiM in the Amazon Appstore, so I installed that too and it seems to run fine too.

How does the speed of operation compare to Android or iOS?

If it doesn't run too slow, I would like to buy a used Fire tablet.

Often there’s a “20% trade-in” badge on Amazon kit where you can trade-in older stuff you have to get 20% off the purchase of a newer device, plus a nominal smaller gift card amount. If you don’t have any eligible devices on your account you could trade-in then of course that’s no use to you.

Fire MAX is the one with the highest performance, right?

Yeah, relatively speaking. While the Max 11 is no slouch I much prefer using my iPad Air 13. But for apps like WiiM, it’s fine and I suspect it’s,the same for the smaller fire hd models too.

Yeah, there is an Amazon Renewed store. I haven't seen any Amazon devices there, but I'll check it out.

Prompted by that, I installed the WiiM Home TV app on the fire tv interface of my Show 15 and it appears to work ok…

It's the 2022 HD 8. While I find it usually slower than android and ios in most things, it
surprisingly keeps up fine with my initia Wiiml use. Actually quite happy!
