Wiim Home for guests to my home?

Can guests to my home access my Wiim Home program so they can use it to play my library? Obviously 2 cannot be signed into my Wiiim Home app - I understand that. This question was simply to avoid handing over my iPad or iPhone

Your guest obviously have to install the WiiM Home app on their mobiles by themselves. Now, if your grant them access to your WiFi (not just an isolated guest WiFi) they will be able to access your WiiM and generally play some music.

What exactly they can and cannot play depends on what your refer to as "your library". They can e.g. play music from presets, from a USB key (if your WiiM device does support that), from vTuner and so on. They cannot access music that is stored locally on your phone. They cannot access e.g. your Spotify or Tidal or Qobuz account, if you have that. They could log into their own Tidal or Qobuz account in their installation of the WiiM Home app and they could use their own Spotify account and play to your WiiM through Spotify connect.

Thank you sir so very much. This explains perfectly what I have to do to allow my guests to enjoy this fabulous set up Wiim has opened for me. I do in fact have Tidal & Amazon unlimited. Joined both of those only to make sure they would work losslessly Through my Wiim App - then jettison one of them after I see which works best for me. Most probably will Not have either of those services. However they most likely will have Spotify. For now of course they will not be able to Stream losslessly But this will give a good comparison of the differences in sound (if discernible by me - I used to be able to hear a difference) between my ALAC/FLAC vs AAC or whatever Spotify uses.

Are you sure? Seems to me the tidal and qobuz credentials are wiim device specific, not in the app.
For tidal connect / chromecast, sure they can use their own, but within the wiim app...

And of course you were right about Tidal (that's all I can test), so probably Qobuz, Deezer and other services as well. Not Spotify, since it's not integrated.

So, guests can not only play your secret playlists, but they can also log you out of your account (but not back in again, unless they guess your password).

I never noticed this since we all have accounts for the same services in the family (and nobody but me cares about the Tidal family account anyway) and we share a couple of playlists, anyway.

If you use Spotify, the JAM feature may be one option. (Guests must be using Spotify.)

I think better to create a guest network on your home router and connect WiiM to that network.

With regard to Spotify , note that because of the way Spotify connect works your guests may retain the ability to play music on your devices even after they have left. Take a look at this thread on the issue

One of my friends came over yesterday, and connected to my unit through Spotify connect over my WiFi to stream some music.

After he returned home he was still able to connect to my unit and stream music to it as it appears under the "On other networks" section in Spotify connect. He's been using this to incessantly spam me with baby shark and as far as I can see it's impossible to prevent him from doing this or force disconnect him from the device. I can start streaming my own music via Chromecast but there is nothing to stop him from connecting again, kicking me off the device.
