Date added isn't in the track metadata that's passed to control points from UPnP servers. Can we please have more? Such as "Date added"?
Most servers display recently added albums in date added order, is that all you're after, or individual tracks too?
Any reason why you don't use LMS as the control point?Individual tracks unfortunately—I listen to DJ mixes that are long single tracks.
Thanks for the other suggestions, I did have a simple UPnP docker, I'll look into it again.

I ran into a separate issue: my old LMS would show up fine in Wiim Home, but Lyrion doesn't (even though when I look at Squeezelite recognizes the server IP).
Have you installed the UPnP/Media Interface plugin?I ran into a separate issue: my old LMS would show up fine in Wiim Home, but Lyrion doesn't (even though when I look at Squeezelite recognizes the server IP).
Have you installed the UPnP/Media Interface plugin?
Why did you move away from Navidrome? I'm using Lightweight Music Server with Symfonium (Android only) which I think would give you what you're after.
I tried Tempo a few months ago and whilst it's a good looking app it's very limited. Unless you need an open source app I'd try Symfonium as it's a major step up, with UPnP support, Smart playlists, Android Auto support and a tonne of other features.I actually still have Navidrome docker running and I use Tempo Android app to stream music on the go. Tempo has the option to cast to Wiim Amp... I wasn't sure what audio quality that is tbh.
I thought the Symfonium developer was very much against ever supporting UPNP?I tried Tempo a few months ago and whilst it's a good looking app it's very limited. Works well with WiiM using UPnP (lossless so audio quality is as good as it gets) or Chromecast (up to 96 kHz but not gapless).
It doesn't support UPnP servers but it does support UPnP renderers and Chromecast.I thought the Symfonium developer was very much against ever supporting UPNP?

I don't use Navidrome, but have you tried to Import them from the Playlist tab?(The odd thing is Symfonium doresn't appear to list the existing smart playlists I already in Navidrome.)
If you click the Casting icon in the top right hand corner it should list all available cast targets. I've enabled Chromecast on my Pro so it lists both Chromecast and UPnP interfaces as well as my Sonos speakers, Nest devices and RoPieee renderer.I'm trying to use Symfonium with WiiM and UPnP, can you share how you did it?
Symfonium doesn't support UPnP servers as they lack the metadata and functionality necessary to provide a feature rich interface, but it does support the majority of mainstream music servers.I have a working UPnP docker but I don't know how to get Symfonium to detect it or set it up in "manage media providers".
The control point (Symfonium) passes the URL of the track to be played to the renderer, which pulls it directly from the server.Does this mean the audio quality is "as good as it gets" ? I'm assuming Symfonium is simply "passing the file" to WiiM to play...
I'd also like to see random order which would would act as a workaround for playing large playlists in shuffle mode. There are only 5 sorting options:
Can we please have more? Such as "Date added"?
- Default
- Track number
- Title
- Artist
- Album
I'd like to sort the files in my music folder list in descending date order so I have a view of recently added music.
