WiiM Mini - Daily loss of Wifi connection and streaming problems

Is it? What's the point of having a two year warranty if it has to fail within one year?
It doesn't. It's still a 2-year guaranty. But it doesn't cover that the device will not ever fail.

It covers the quality at the time of purchase, at the time of the transfer of risk. If the device fails within 12 months after purchase it is always assumed that the product has been faulty when sold. During the next 12 months the buyer has to proof that the failure is a result of the device being faulty, not any external factors.

The statutory warranty is unrelated to any voluntary manufacturer's warranty.

Probably still worth asking WiiM about it. Pentax had an issue with a solenoid that failed to operate after a period of time. All of those failed cameras worked at the time of purchase but Pentax repaired them if they failed within the two year warranty.
