WiiM Pro Firmware v4.8.724036 Update - Jul 23, 2025

  1. Soundtrack Pairing: Fixed an issue preventing successful soundtrack pairing.
  2. Gapless Playback: Fixed an issue causing incomplete audio playback.
  3. General Fixes: General performance and stability improvements.
 
Advanced Parametric EQ: High-Pass & Low-Pass filters now available (App v3.2.6+ required).
This is great. I will apply high-pass filter for my center channel (mono feed). This will remove low frequency and enhance dialogue when watching movies.
 
Dear all, installed without problems. However I do notice that since the update I can not play music from the Amazon service in the WiiM app. This is the only way I can find to play bit-perfect audio, as casting from the phone app only gives 16/44.1.

Is there a way to solve this issue? Am I the only one experiencing it?

Amazon music is still working fine for me since this update.

Please confirm that you are playing via AlexaCast. If you connect to WiiM Pro via the Amazon Music app and the UHD track is displayed as HD, you may be connected via GoogleCast.

I have confirmed that my Pro can play 24-bit/192 kHz without any problems via both the WiiM app and AlexaCast.

Dear all, thank you for your suggestions.

I restored to factory settings and now I can play missing using the Amazon service and the WiiM music app bit-perfect.

This time I did not enable Google Cast, and I cannot see my device on the cast list anymore.

So you were right I was most probably casting thru Google cast.

Can't seem to find how to get Alexa Cast available.

I installed Amazon Alexa on my phone and the device is being shown as online but is not appearing in my phone Amazon Music app.
 
I don't think you need Alexa installed, but did you enable Amazon Alexa within the wiim app, in the voice and streaming part of the Browse screen?
There's also an Amazon music guide in the support section of this forum.

Edit: and where in the world are you? Alexacast isn't available in some countries, e.g.Poland.
