  3. Amazon Music: Bitrate information is now displayed when streaming Amazon Music Prime.
  4. Sub Pro Integration: Improved pairing experience and overall functionality when using the Sub Pro.
  5. YouTube Music: Native, seamless streaming support. (requires the upcoming app version 3.3.1).
  6. Soundtrack SDK Upgrade: Under-the-hood improvements for a smoother, more consistent listening experience.

Bug Fixes:
  1. Alarm Fixes:
    • Resolved an issue where weekly alarms occasionally failed to trigger.
    • Fixed a bug where only the default tone played for Pandora alarm.
  2. Playing Status: Corrected the playback status indicator when no music is playing.
  3. Qobuz: Now displays the correct artist name in the app during playback.
  4. Bluetooth Output: Fixed a no-audio issue after switching outputs.
  5. NAS Playback: Playback now correctly restarts from the beginning after the last track finishes.
  6. Playback Speed: Resolved rare cases where songs played at accelerated speed.

When will this update me available?

I hope you have fixed the issue of truncated playback of (primarily, but not exclusively) hi-res files via playlists... it has been persistent since the last firmware update using Qobuz Connect (not happening when streaming to Chromecast devices)...

Hi, I'm afraid the "Room Correction & EQ Integration" portion of the update broke something in my Pro Plus. I was forced to migrate (as was explained in the release notes above) but now the sound is completely lifeless. Bass is almost completely gone. Even when I switch both - RoomFit and EQ - off. it just doesn't seem to have any effect.
Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!

PS: Yes, I already rebooted but to no avail.

I noticed the exact same problem while listening. The same songs I often listen to, the same headphones, no changes to the settings because I listen without equalization, and the songs sound dull and the bass has disappeared. My Wiim is connected to a Fiio K11 R2R and until yesterday everything sounded great. I did a comparison, and Tidal played through the USB Audio Player from a phone connected directly to the Fiio with a USB cable plays normally, with shine and bass. Strange.

If you use room correction when you aren't using headphones did you disable Roomfit?

I haven't used equalization since connecting it to the Fiio R2R because it works, or rather, it worked great for me. Roomfit was turned off, of course, and that was the first thing I checked. I should add that I had the impression that after some updates I also heard a difference, but then it miraculously went back to what it was.

You could not turn off RoomFit prior to this update.

You could enable or disable different EQ profiles for different inputs and assign EQ profiles to presets. But RoomFit just created EQ profiles in the past.

So, the first question to ask yourself is always if you might have had some EQ applied (maybe without taking note?) before the firmware update. If this is not the case and rebooting doesn't seem to help, remove the device from the power supply for a minute, then re-apply the mains power.

Hi @jac-st,

Apologies for the inconvenience. I’ve rolled your device back to the previous OTA version 4.8.724036. We are actively working on fixing the issue and will release a new version later this week.

Thank you very much for your quick response. The previous OTA version was restored, restarted the Wiim app, restarted the phone... unfortunately, I'm surprised to find that the problem persists. Now I don't know why. There's a constant feeling as if there's an equalizer on somewhere that boosts the treble and lowers the bass, even though EQ is off. I'll add again that I haven't used EQ or changed any settings in the WH app or phone for a long time. I have a simple rule: if something sounds great to my ears, I don't touch anything except updates... I don't know what to do now, I just have to wait... I'm not changing my mind, Wiim is fantastic, but for now it was fantastic... 😉

I'm happy to report that my problem was quickly resolved by Wiim support after reporting it. I received a special firmware version (4.8.726839) for my Wiim Pro Plus. And it's fantastic again. Well done Wiim, and thank you for your quick response. Greetings to the Wiim community, I'm not changing my mind, Wiim is fantastic! ...I'm going to listen to more 😀

I'm more than happy to report the exact same. Everything sounds good again. I haven't tried activating RoomFit yet (only EQ is active) but with RF deactivated everything sounds exactly like it used to. Furthermore, deactivating the EQ also results in a noticeable difference again...as it should of course (but didn't with the buggy firmware).

@WiiM Team, that was a display of top notch service. I really appreciate it. Mistakes (in this case a software bug) happen, that's just a human thing haha. What matters is the way they are handled. And I couldn't be more satisfied with how you handled this one. Exceptional! Thanks! 👍

Hello. I have the same problem. After the update, the sound became flat and lifeless. The bass disappeared. I don't want to listen to music at all. Please help me solve the problem.
Thank you.

Thank you.
Raise a ticket direct to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the WiiM app and ask for this special firmware version. This is primarily a user discussion forum, and the feedback section in the app is the recommended way to get support from WiiM.

I think others may have resolved this issue by re-doing roomfit. If you use that, it may be worth a try.
