Wiim Ultra + Aiyima A80 triggering issue

Hi,
I have a Wiim Ultra with a Aiyima A80 connected using optical output.
I can't get trigger working whereras I read an article saying trigger works between the two devices.
Is there a firmware issue or something wrong with optical output?

The trigger is not related to the optical output. Only to the state of the WiiM.

How have you connected the 12v trigger cable?

Checking the Aiyima website, it states that the trigger-in does not support WiiM.
I recommend contact Aiyima support.

I'm using a mono jack cable.
I tried using a stereo cable but it didn't work neither.

After a little research, there have been cases where it has worked if the plug is not inserted all the way in, but only half way. Please try.

Unfortunately, I guess it was probably discovered that it did not work for some reason, and an explanation was later added to the Aiyima website.

Have you contacted Aiyima?

The Aiyima A70 certainly works very well with a trigger cable from my Ultra, so perhaps they have changed something about the newer A80 model.

Not much help for you,
but for me the trigger output on my Ultra triggers my two Topping B100 using the trigger cables that came with the B100
So the trigger output on atleast my Ultra works.
