Hello All,

I have just purchased all in the in the title but I am totally miffed how to connect my Denon optical digital cables do not seem to work, has anyone got the same configuration as I would like to know which ports and where I need to connect to.

Forever grateful,

Marcus

where I need to connect to.
Your optical out from the wiim ultra should be connected to the optical in on the vibelink amp. The optical output from the dennon should be connected to the Ultra optical in.
Edit
I just checked. Is your denon an amp/cd/radio?
If it is then there are no outputs on this, only inputs from what I can see.
You could connect the Ultra optical out to the dennon but the vibelink would not be used.
I shall check again

Hi Ronnie,

Big thanks for taking your time to reply to me, I have made two photos of what stands now and I'm able to use the Ultra and Vibelink together but what ever optic I use for Denon nothing seems to work and I note in Denon is states the Digital is "locked" which tells me when I look it up there is no connection or incompatible?

It looks like the Denon only has optical in, so that won’t do what you want.

Hi,

Damn was hoping this was not going to be but I guess you are right, is there any other way I can connect this to my Denon taking note that the denon is an amp too.

I may have a solution but I am totally stuck of which cable should go where for the speaker switch from Denon or WIIM any idea?

I don't think there's any other way than connecting the Denon headphone output to the Ultra's line input. You'll need a cable that converts the headphone jack to RCA2.

What are you trying to do?
Hello,

All I want is to be able to play/listen to my cd player which is the Denon D-M41DAB (which is an Amplifier too) to my WIIM Ultra and or WIIM Vibelink. Did not think it would be so complicated to be honest but it's turning out to be.

To connect the Douk audio d5 between the Ultra and Vibe, connect the Ultra's line out to the Douk's RCA input (left), and connect one of the four RCA jacks on the right side to the Vibe's LINE input. You will need to change the Douk's input/output switch to the 1 input, 4 output setting.
(However, personally, I don't see the benefit of connecting Douk.)

Hi Wiimer,

The idea was somehow using the Dock to share the speakers between the WIIM and Denon dm41DAB but I ma lost how to do this.

Cheers,

Marcus

Are other speakers connected to the Denon?

If so, you need to connect the Douk's RCA output to the Denon's RCA input. Combined with the connection method mentioned earlier, you can output the Denon's CD playback through the Ultra to the Vibe speakers.

Denon (Headphone out)--> (RCA-in) Ultra (RCA-out)--> (RCA-in) Douk (RCA-out)-->(RCA-in)Vibe

Douk (RCA-out)-->(RCA-in) Denon

< Or Direct Connection Between Ultra and Vibe>
Denon (Headphone out)--> (RCA-in) Ultra (Optional/Coaxial out) --> Vibe

I think this is probably right, but sorry if I'm wrong.

Where are your speakers connected? It sounds like you don’t need the Vibelink. 🤔
It is true to a degree what you say but I wanted a bit of power from an AMP and WIIM offered me that, the Denon offers 30 watts but I only really wanted because of the CD player.

The 30 watts from the Denon may be perfectly adequate for your needs.
You are probably right, you can tell HIFI is not my thing, had a dream, woke up and made my purchase..... I will probably buy another set of speakers it's the easy solution without having to box an amp and out it in the attic 🙂👍
