In my external USB drive I have a folder with music files in APE format, but these are not indexed and therefore cannot be viewed. In the specifications I read that Wiim Ultra is compatible with APE files. Do you have an answer?

Thanks

Don't know but you can convert ape to flac, you'd need monkeys audio plugin for foobar and that'll allow you convert to a open formats. If they're a single cue/ large ape file you'll need to use cue splitter, that'll split into single ape files then convert those into flac.

Bit of a chore.

Raise a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app - while the Ultra may well support APE format files, the UPNP server software it uses to index files on usb storage (miniDLNA I believe) may not. Try copying one of the files to the music folder on your phone and see if that plays.

You can convert APE to FLAC in Jriver media library without losing data. JRiver has bunch of other features besides. Or convert and copy to a Thumbdrive in one step.
