Are any of these updates heading for the WiiM Amp? It hasn't had an update for more than three months.

I was going to ask the same question regarding the rest of the range...the all-in-ones or other streamers
;-)

Does this vinyl screen have the hands of a clock by any chance? 😇
It will probably be the one featured in this short video clip under the heading

Immersive Cover & Per-Input Now Playing

I‘m afraid you might be right. Sad!

  1. Sub & Main Speaker Sync: Automatically aligns subwoofer and main speakers for improved timing at the listening position.
There’s a subwoofer setting that align both main and sub by delaying sub, wondering what this brings?

You can now measure latency at your listening position using the phone's mic or an external mic. 🙂

Has anyone tested,?is HDMI having the options and working as in beta?
I.e If Tv switched on, it won't throw audio towards Ultra unless Ultra has HDMI input selected.
@hgo58 knows what I am talking about 😀

Wasn't that already the case?
Or does that refer not only to timing but also to level matching?
Doesn't this refer to the change that the measurement is now done at the listening position via your phone/mic rather than using the internal mic in the WiiM itself?
Burnside is correct; the original algorithm used a microphone inside the streamer to attempt time alignment between the sub and speakers, which is, fundamentally, an absolutely, completely wrong and utterly broken manner in which to do this. The update corrects the algorithm to utilize a microphone at the main listening position for time alignment purposes instead.

Silly question... Shouldn't the wifi network latency be considered as an added delay/timing factor to manage also?
And what if network latency changes?
The defined corrective value for the listening point is anyway written within the Ultra's DSP without further need to be checked?
