Yeah, But to be honest, I can't think of a use for it right now. 😅

(I'd be happy if I could use the line-out as a stereo sub-out.)
For one thing, it'll keep Lyrion users happier as they've often pointed out old Squeezeboxes could do this, so they could provide use cases...

"Live Metadata: Added ICY support for richer “now playing” info on TuneIn, iHeartRadio."

Previously a release note was pubnished, which included BBC Radio now playing info, but it has been removed. What happened with the feature? When we can expect it to be released?

Welcome.

Is pubnished when someone says something at the pub after too many 🍻 then denies it?
Maybe that's what happened with the release notes? ;)

Anyone got this device screen for the HDMI input?

It was removed as WiiM realised that the bbc streams they use don't have the metadata they expected. I wouldn't imagine it'll resurface.

It is known, that BBC has not got a standard metafata delivery, it is integrated in their iplayer application, using a separate url source. If the interface to that url is known, then the metadata could be interpreted and displayed.

I just received this update as well. However, per source volume control doesn't seem to be working anymore. I noticed two things:
- As I turned on my device this morning, the music (TuneIn) was blasting at 100%. I had it on TV mode last night, where I get input via line-in. Line-in is always 100% so it can be managed by my receiver, Wifi/TuneIn is managed in Wiim
- Now when I switch between Line-In and wifi, the volume stays the same

I checked and the Per Source Volume Control toggle still is enabled. I tried toggling it, but that didn't solve anything.
Same here with latest update :-( .Made a ticket for it!

Just confirmed it with the team that this is a beta release which has some TIDAL playback stability improvements. We don't currently publish release notes for specific beta builds, just the firmware threads when the release is live, and beta announcements when one it launching. But maybe we will look into dedicated threads to announce beta firmware releases.
Thanks for reply, but I never signed up for the beta testing.
