System comprises a Wiim ultra, a class d chip amplifier (Chinese) driving a pair of Dynaudio Audience 42 (not the“wall” version” 4ohm speakers.
When streaming from Spotify or using digital out from a smart Tv into the Wiim, there is a very light ticking noise from both channels emanating from the speakers. This is there (and more obvious) whilst no audio is being played.
It isn’t the frequency sonically that I would expect from a failing capacitor.
I purchased the Wiim as “used” - proof of the original purchase dates this to October 2024, so wasn’t expecting any issues.
Whilst this is not exactly annoying as such, I feel it shouldn’t be there.
Anyone have any thoughts on this please? Thank you. (Incidentally, I have substituted the chip amp. for an identical spare and the issue persists - it’s not the amplifier.)
