Wiim Ultra Radio Paradise problem

Hi all

I'm getting a problem with Radio Paradise and I'm wondering if anyone else is having or had this issue.

When playing RP ...only tried main and mellow streams .....it plays 5 songs then repeats those 5 songs. I'm logged in to RP ....tried wi-fi and hard wired network. If I reboot or go out of RP and back in streams fine until you realise it's repeating another 5 songs ....

If I use my RP app and cast to Wiim all's fine. It's was fine before latest update....I've logged a problem with Wiim via the app.

Wiim Ultra ...latest firmware and app.

I've got a few room correction setups stored ...need to do a bit of research before the reset then.

Try just a power cycle first - turn the unit off, wait a minute and turn it back on. A router reboot might help too.

Same issue here.
Updated app RP stations all cycle on a ~30 minute loop.
Playing from a favourite that was created before the update provides uninterrupted playback (as expected)
Tried a power cycle, problem persists.
Reported via the app.

In the image below, #2 is a favourite from before the update, which works correctly
The Radio Paradise icon in Recently played is from the post update app, which has looped playback

Someone suggested a factory restart.. I"ve yet to try it.. I was hoping Wimm would issue a fix.

I've discovered that all works okay from a pre-set (except track progress bar doesn't work).. 3 track looping happens when I access RP via the browser tab.. It re-srsets to three new tracks if you exit and then go back... so strange

You're in the "Troubleshooting WiiM Ultra issues" subforum, so I assumed you are on that hardware. The mobile view doesn't include user signatures, in case that's where you included this piece of information.

However, it's an additional piece of information if this behaviour shows up with the WiiM Pro Plus and the WiiM Ultra. Also any difference in behaviour between using the Browse tab and the presets (which might have been created with a previous firmware and WiiM Home app software version) could be interesting for WiiM. Make sure to send feedback through the WiiM Home app (More => Feedback) or add this information to your existing ticket if you already did so.

As mentioned before, I listen to radio Paradise a lot on different devices, WiiM and non-WiiM. I never observed this strange bug. Are you using the iOS version of the WiiM Home app?

I still have to find out what the RP login inside the WHA might be good for. Support told me there are no plans to enable individual track rating or playing your personal favourites.

My favorites mix does appear after logging in

Support clearly forgot that as soon as this new RP implementation came out that I raised a ticket saying that My Favorites was missing. After I explained what that was (they seemed unaware), they said they might consider adding it later which they did in the next firmware update. I also pointed out there was no way of rating a track so hopefully it’ll come at some point. Other than those two functions, I don’t think there’s any other reason to have a login so it does seem strange to have initially implemented that when they didn’t seem to be aware of what it allowed…

That's definitely the least thing to be expected.

My Ultra is on the alternative Goiglecast 1.56 firmware. This has not been updated so there's no way of logging into my RP account yet.

I can login on my Amp Pro but my user name is displayed as "anonymous". My RP favourites don't show up and I cannot rate tracks from within the WiiM Home app. So, the difference between being logged in or not is a wrong user name being displayed or not.

I opened my own support ticket, but staff seems totally unaware of what Radio Paradise is and how it works (and how it does not). I send creenshots and wrote a short series of novels about what the expected behaviour was and in how far "managing my favourite RP stations" is not it at all.

Support kept repeating that this was what it's all about, managing my favourite Radio Paradise stations. And they are going to fix the "anonymous" issue later.

So, I'm glad to see that the RP favourites do work, at least for some. I still hope that the developers have a better understanding of this topic than support has.

You can configure the minimum rating required for favourites in the Radio Paradise app since ... I don't know when.
