Wiim Ultra: Sub Out and Optical Out not working

As far as I am aware from online research, using the Optical output of the Wiim Ultra with the Sub Out should be possible. However I can not get the Sub Out to work when using the optical output. The sub connection is recognised so the high-pass works but the sub does not get any signal it seems as there is no bass. Turning the sub output off brings back the bass.

Is there some setting or config I should be using to enable this?

Edit for clarification: should have mentioned that the sub has been working fine with the rca outputs. Also, I’m on the latest firmware.

Hi
No special settings are required to enable the sub-out during optical-out.
Is the subwoofer in standby mode?
Does sound come from the subwoofer for outputs other than optical?

If you have not yet tried this, disconnect the Ultra's power cable and wait a while before reconnecting it.

Yes good point I should have said that. Sub has been working fine when using the rca outputs. Not in standby.

My question was poorly phrased.

Does your subwoofer have an auto-standby function? If so, is the sub's auto-standby functioning correctly when using the optical output? (However, if sound is coming from the sub when using the RCA output, this should be irrelevant.)

If trying @anonyless's suggestion doesn't resolve it, please submit a ticket via the WiiM app's feedback section immediately after reproducing the issue. Device logs will be sent. (More > Feedback)
