Wiim Ultra + TCL 75C855 Hdmi Arc Sound Problem

Hello all! For the past several months, I was using Wiim Ultra as my daily streamer both for my turntable, music streaming as well as receiving sound from my TV. As of today, I am having trouble with Arc and my TV does not recognize Wiim Ultra as a sound receiver. I keep having the error on the photo with no sound at all. Bluetooth, Phono and all other inputs are working as it should be. I tried to update to latest beta firmware but still same error.

Wiim Ultra had an update lately which had some bug fixes concerning the Arc. Can it be the reason? It started acting in a such way just after the update. Any recommendations?

If you have not already tried these, test the operation by trying them in order.
  • Reboot TV OS.
  • Reboot the Ultra.
  • Unplug the Ultra and TV power cables.
  • Unplug the HDMI cable.
  • After 10 minutes, connect the HDMI cable and stick the power cable back in.

Also try reinstalling the WiiM app if the latest FW for Ultra is installed.

If the problem persists, please submit a ticket through the Feedback section of the WiiM app. A device log will be sent.
 
Indeed I have tried all the options you mentioned, even changed the HDMI cable itself too. I factory resetted the Wiim Ultra and also the TV but no result unfortunately.

As last option I also updated to Wiim Ultra’s beta software so unfortunately there’s no device log for the time being. I dont receive any error codes or whatsoever too.

In any case you should send feedback to wiiM directly through the WiiM Home app (tab More => Feedback).

This will send device logs along with your description, so WiiM can look into what's going on with your particular device.

The latest beta firmware is dated April 30, so if there is a problem with the latest public FW, it may not be resolved. have you already tried the January 20 version?

Also, please try turning the 2 toggles on / off several times on the audio input screen of the WiiM app.

January 20 beta version has also the same behavior now. I start to suspect that the TV has a problem with its Arc output. I will try to connect the TV to another set of speakers directly via Arc and see the problem persists.

Meanwhile I am open to any other suggestions :)
