Wiim Ultra + Vibelink Amp Volume control?

Yes, of course I know.

I was talking about procedure for checking the operation against @obertransae's device issue. (I wrote badly and may have misled you.)
Thanks for clarification!
To be precise, I believe that the trigger can't put Vibelink into sleep mode 🙂

If I press the power button on the Ultra's remote, Vibelink's LED will dim and it will enter standby mode. (The LED does not turn off.)
Hi Wiimer,

I’ll check with our team on this—it’s designed to put the Vibelink into standby mode automatically. After a period of inactivity, it'll enter sleep then. I’ll keep you updated as soon as I have more information.

I don't see this as a big problem, but I hope Team can provide some clarification on the 3 power states.

The description in the Vibelink product catalog seems a bit vague.

This image shows a 60 minute auto-standby, but the description says something different.

Also, I am not sure what "power down" means. (I think it actually means sleep mode.)

Thank you.

This is what it's doing, so all good.

I think the confusion / clarification came from your post saying
'When using the 12V trigger input, the Vibelink can automatically enter and exit sleep mode'
implying that the trigger going off puts the vibelink directly into sleep mode, rather than into standby mode.

Hi Mr Ee, Wiimer, Team

You're absolutely right—thanks for pointing that out. The correct explanation is:

When using the 12V trigger input, the Vibelink will automatically enter standby and exit sleep/standby mode as needed. After remaining in standby for 30 minutes, the device will transition into sleep mode to conserve power.

Does the Vibelink have a fixed output setting to use the volume control on the pre-amp instead?

No. I describe it as a set it and forget it power amp. Choose your input, start with the vibelink volume down low, play some music, set your pre-amp/streamer volume to 100%, slowly increase the volume on the vibelink to the loudest you’d ever want your system to play then turn the pre-amp volume down to your usual listening level. After that, don’t touch the vibelink and just control volume via the connected pre-amp/streamer.

Thanks. That’s disappointing since I plan to use one when I get it as power for height channels. I have amps for the front and other surrounds but am two channels short.

Why is it an issue? It just means you can choose the gain.

'Height channels' refers to channels for Dolby Atmos?

WiiM wireless Dolby is 5.1 ch and does not support Atmos.

Turning the volume pot all the way up is a well defined setting (no attenuation, maximum power output).

The only problem could be other members of your household playing around with knobs on your gear. If the WiiM Vibelink Amp is hidden somewhere there's no problem at all.

Indeed - ultra power "off" causes vibelink to go to standby, and 30 mins later it'll go to sleep.

And it seems that now that I have a trigger cable connected, when I put the ultra into standby (and the vibelink goes to standby) I get a small pop from the speakers, similar to what I reported before when using the wiim app to turn the vibelink "off"..
I have the trigger cable as well and when WiiM turns off (5 minutes time is my setup - not using the remote, just leave it go off by itself) I hear the click from the Vibelink that turns it off as well as when it turns on, but nothing coming from the speakers. It's just the switch in the Vibelink making a small sound, as other appliances I have does, including an active sub I use in my primary system at home.

Yep, I get the relay click too, but this sound is from the speakers.
It's pretty quiet and benign though. Nothing to worry about, just an observation and not uncommon.
