Not strictly WiiM, but I'm sure will affect many here who rip their own CDS.

I got a few CDs for Christmas. Just now I stuck the first into my CD drive to rip, and WMP won't find album art, which it was doing up to a few weeks ago.

I've been on t'interweb, and apparently others are finding the same.

Nightmare. I have seven huge boxed sets to rip.

BAH HUMBUG!

Probably better to use something else to rip CDs. I don't think WMP checks rips for accuracy.

I always add album art manually, and quite often also have to add missing or incorrectly spelled track names, and other assorted errors.

When I can't find suitable album art online, I simply take a photo of the CD Booklet, and use that.

Or Foobar2000 or Exact Audio Copy 👍

Foobard2000, madenningly obtuse. Trying to set up basic settings (file type to FLAC, naming convention, etc.), and it's pretty much impossible.

I get into the pages with options, but then when I click on an option...what then? Where's the 'Select' or 'Okay' button to save what you've selected.

I've tried Exact Audio Copy, and it's not at all user-friendly, I couldn't find anything.

I'll give the others a go.
I use EAC but if you want something a little more user-friendly you should try the excellent CUERipper.

From a quick look at the documentation, you may only need to change the extraction type (12) to 'tracks'.

EDIT: Though it's a little old now this guide may help.

Having been through multiple videos - nothing.

Googling - nothing.

I was stuck on something about FLAC exe. I Googled that, and there's another add-on to download.

I've done that and it's working. But what a complete PITA. The people who create these things are geniuses, but they don'y live in the real user world.

I use Foobar2000. I agree that the UI is not the greatest but once you get the hang of it, the program is excellent.
Learning any new software is always difficult. I use Foobar2000 mainly for Replaygain since it makes it easy to analyse albums in multiple folders where other software doesn't
