Would this work for crossfading songs for a party playlist?

I love the 4 Wiim Pro Pluses I have through the home but it's unfortunate that Spotify won't allow me to crossfade the songs correctly.
For a party we're throwing, transitioning the songs with fades really makes the ~5 hour set playlist so much better.

Could I play the entire playlist on my computer with crossfading while recording the audio so that I just have one giant MP3 file that I stream to the Wiims? We don't need to control the songs at all during the party. I know it sounds like a really messy fix, but would it technically work? I'm not sure what the solution would be if we really want the songs to transition with the fades.

Thanks

For a one off
Use “Stream What You Hear” the Rust version on PC
Then use “Open Network Stream” on WiiM to play the output.

For a long term solution
Install LMS on PC with Spotty and Group Player plugin
Use WiiMs as LMS Endpoints, create an LMS Group Player and set it to do Smart Crossfade with Smart Gain
Play Spotify playlist from within LMS to WiiM Group

Brilliant! Thank you!
I'll start with trying SWYH. Is there a reason I need the Rust version or can I just use the one downloadable at streamwhatyouhear.com?

Curious, is there degradation to the sound quality with it?

Thanks again!

The original version has a memory leak. The Rust rewrite doesn’t.
If you are using Spotify then no SQ degradation. If you were using Tidal or Qobuz and the source was 24bit then it would be downsampled to 16/44.1
