AirPlay not working on one of two Pro Plus (Spotify Connect works)

I’ve contacted Wii support and will be having the device replaced. Support suspects that there really is a fault with it. It will take a little while longer for the whole process to be completed.
Good news and it underlines the importance of raising a ticket in the WiiM app - the device logs often have information that's not evident otherwise.

The device in question was indeed faulty and has been replaced. It wasn’t an Essential version either. The new Pro+ is working perfectly – so the setup was correct after all. :) Thanks for all the helpful tips!
