Amazon Prime Music no longer working on Ultra

Recently, I have been unable to play any Amazon Music stations on my Ultra whether I select the station via the WHA or directly from the Ultra. I had no problems in the past. I do not have the "Amazon Music Unlimited" subscription.

I'm not sure if it is related to the latest upgrades. The Ultra is at 5.2.711448 and my Android WHA is at 3.1.7.250320.781178.

I can play tracks from my Plex and Tune-in services with no issue.

When I access the Amazon Music service, I get a lists of stations. When I select a station, i.e. "Classic Rock", the lettering turns green for a couple of minutes, then turns back to white. The station never starts playing music.

I have rebooted the Ultra, disabled and enabled the Amazon Music service, and performed a factory reset of the Ultra. I have also logged out / logged in to Amazon music. Nothing seems to resolve the issue.

I can launch the Amazon Music app provided by Amazon on my phone and play stations with no issue. I can also launch the Amazon Music app on my Sony Smart TV with no issues.

I have submitted a support ticket.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what was the resolution?

Thanks.

Have you enabled Alexa in the WiiM home app and tried using AlexaCast from the Amazon music app to your WiiM?

@Burnside...Thank you for your reply and suggestion.

I have not enabled Alexa. I'm sure it would be a viable workaround. The issue with that solution is that I have all the presets configured with Plex playlists, Tune-in radio stations, and Amazon Music stations. This allows me to use the Wiim remote and Ultra touchscreen to access my most frequently played music.

If possible, I would prefer to not have to use my phone to play Amazon Music channels.

Up until recently, I have had no issues with Amazon Music since I purchased the Ultra last August. Something appears to have changed.

Thanks again,
Mike.

Hi MLDeMeo,

The Amazon Music issue you're experiencing is a unique case specific to your device. We're actively working with the Amazon Music team to resolve it and expect to have a fix within the week.
Thank you again for your continued support and patience - please stay tuned!

Thank God I'm not the only one. Since the last update a few weeks ago, my Ultra has been freezing any time I try to start or end Amazon Music streaming. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm initiating the service/source change from the Ultra screen or the Home app. This includes leaving the streaming source completely to enter Phono. I thought it was with Pandora, too, but Amazon Music definitely seems to be the issue.

EDIT: I was ready to perform a factory reset, but since that solution did not help MLDeMeo, I will wait to see if the Wiim team comes up with a better solution.

As of a few days ago, the issue appears to be resolved for me. Not sure what Wiim did to fix the problem.

What's interesting is that Wiim's response to my post was "The Amazon Music issue you're experiencing is a unique case specific to your device".

Based on your reply, it doesn't sound like it is unique to my device.

Is it the same issue as the OP I.e. the specific uses of Amazon Music Prime and stations?

Yes, my Ultra seems to be acting very similarly to how OP is describing the issue. I've done several reboots without any luck; I'm hesitant to do a full factory reset and lose settings, presets, etc.

I also started having an issue 1-2 days ago where I cannot find the Ultra on my network. I tried using Home apps my phone and my PC; neither worked. I reset the network connectivity twice (3+ seconds holding Play button), and the second time seemed to correct that issue.

I'm just feeling kinda bummed about the whole thing, because for the first 1-2 months I had it before any updates, it worked flawlessly.
