Agreed. It's straight-up fake, as it loops and has no relation to the media that's playing.
A static display of the input (with the quality, if digital) would be ideal. It'd be even better if this could go to the standby display after a short while.
The fake spectrum analyzer is quite distracting, especially when watching TV or other content, and using the ultra for audio playback via HDMI ARC.
I stated in another thread that the standby clocks could also use some refinement, or some more options. The layout, font, etc. of the slideshow clock is great except for the slideshow itself. Static white text on a black background would get the job done and look much more high-end (imo, of course).
