Nugs.net Anyone else a fan of Nugs.net?

I love Nugs.net and would love to see it added to Wiim Pro, not sure if this is something the Nugs team would have to do or if Wiim Pro would do it. Right now the only way I can connect is through casting, but I'm pretty sure based on all the info I can gather casting doesn't support the CD quality lossless for the HiFi subscription. I reached out to Nugs support but they aren't very helpful, just said they are adding Roon but that's another subscription lol.
 
The NUGS app supports chromecast which has more than enough bandwidth for CD quality casting.

I thought the same but there really isn't anyway to confirm for sure. I also reached out to the Nugs support asking if casting is lossless and they said cast doesn't support lossless but I didn't specify CD quality lossless so maybe they were thinking the MQA, who knows. You'd think at $25 a month for the HiFi we could get a bit more integration and information.

I understand your concern. But can you hear it?
So honestly, who cares?
 
Chromecast does work on WiiM Ultra, but there's a nearly full second gap between tracks. This is infuriating as I listen to Nugs for full on concerts. I've written to Nugs with shoulder shrug response. Please WiiM help us Live Music fans out!!

I downloaded the FLAC files.
 
Interesting that the flacs you downloaded are variable bitrate. Mine weren't...

Lossless compression by its very nature will result in variable bit rate files, no?

Uncompressed files are and lossy compressed files can be CBR.
