I was previously a direct dealer for WiiM and have been in the residential Audio video business for over 50 years.

I’d like to suggest that you give more options for the application screens.

Many of my clients find very confusing and just too many options.

I two agree that there are way too many options and the ability to simplify much as you are able to with your sources would be a huge improvement

Thanks Rick

In most cases and that is as also true for the WiiM Home App, the issue is in the lack of consistency in the look & feel. On top of that bad and hard to understand texts in the UI add to the confusion.
For most users, the simpler the better. One thing Wiim have avoided is stuffing the app with unintellible pictograms (whose use is often as inexplicable as Cypro-Minoan).

I have not such complaints.
In my opinion there's not such debate. Wiims ecosystem offers both simplicity and complexity.
You can take the path you like or enjoy the most!
Most of power users and audio/tech enthusiasts enjoy the versatility and configuration depth of the ecosystem and that is exactly what they value the most. Squeeze out of their audio system all possible strengths, wide range of connectivity and streaming options etc.

Those that want it simple they can enable Alexa integration and push a button and speak to their remote asking for their music. There's also presets on remote, physical device buttons and in the first row of application Home Favourites...There's now Wiim sound and Sound Lite devices for those who just a one in all smart streamer speaker... Those who want it simple can make it simple too... but leave the nerds enjoying our hobby too! 😉

Regards

But nothing prevents us from considering a simplified mode alongside a more expert mode in wiim home...right?

You are or were a sound engineer... ;-)
The idea that a population interested in Wiim products might be worried/overwhelmed by the proliferation of functions can be considered ...without being dismissed

;-)
(Even just reflecting on this approach can often be productive..."to overhaul certain processes"... ;-) )
