App to create playlists from own music collection

There are a number of apps which can automatically suggest playlists from streaming services using specific criteria or even AI e.g. ‘Suggest a playlist for a dinner party using well known tunes’. However, I cannot find anything which serves a similar purpose for an existing personal (ripped) music collection.

Is anyone aware of such a product? I suspect Roon Smart Playlists might be one but do not wish to go down that route (I am an LMS user).

That would require the AI function to be able to read the contents of your local music collection. I guess the iTunes Genius feature if it’s still there was an early attempt to do something along those lines.

Do you mean Lyrion as opposed to the other LMS? If so have you tried the LastMix plugin with Don't Stop The Music and a small seed playlist?

Dear WiiM team. I was surprised there were not more options to automatically suggest playlists from a personal library. It is difficult to know how much unmet demand there is for this. Perhaps those with their own collections do not need a tool to choose playlist preferences for them but I, for one, would welcome these suggestions which might otherwise take some time to curate manually.
