Audio pro A10 mkii wiim edition - volume toggle request

Hello, I recently purchased a pair of A10 mkii Wiim edition speakers for my Kitchen. After setting them up and combining them as seperate Left/Right channels in the wiim app I noticed that if you use the physical volume up/down button on one of the speakers it only controls that individual speaker rather than the pair (like a master volume). It would be very useful while cooking dinner, etc to be able to quickly lower the volume of both speakers evenly with one of the physical volume buttons in the room instead of having to unlock your phone and use the app.

During discussion in the new wiim edition speaker thread there are others that feel they'd still like to be able to control each speakers volume individually so I think adding a toggle switch in the app to control how the physical volume buttons work (seperate/combined) would work for everyone.

Thank you,

Mark

To be honest, I have to second this request.

Normally, the WiiM remote can be used to adjust the volume for the entire group, but at the moment the A10 does not support the WiiM remote, so the physical buttons are not usable.

It might help to send feedback through the WiiM Home app as well.

I'm having trouble understanding this oversite with these speakers.... I just purchased a pair of A10's (none WiiM edition) to pair left & right and the actual physical volume control is not grouped together... How could they overlook something like that? Who would want to control the volume separately in a stereo pair?

And within the WiiM App, the volume only controls one speaker when paired left and right...(n)

I guess because they didn't actually make the speakers🤷. The next question is..... How long does it take the app developers to add something like this? I was thinking it would've happened by now.

No, I understand they (WiiM) didn't make the speakers but Audio Pro.... How??? What logic is there to that?

I'm attempting to contact Audio Pro support but I have not heard great things...

I purchased these for a family/kitchen area like room like OP stated and they were replacing my Sonos One's, the Favorites button was a great feature so the wife could simply push a button to play music but the physical volumes not controlling both speakers is quite possibly one of the stupidest things I've ever seen and I still believe I'm missing something. The fact that the volume isn't controlled properly through WiiM app is the second deal breaker.

These will be most likely going back...

Ok, it is a WiiM edition a10 I have and a WiiM pro plus, but if I group them in the WiiM app and mark them as l & r, I have a group volume that manages both at the same time. What does your a10 stereo group look like in the wiim app?

Edit: the display is identical in the audio pro app too

I'm the OP..... I can completely understand your want to return. Those are some glaring holes. I'm able to deal with this by grouping them with a wiim pro and then alexa can control them so that lessens the blow plus they sound pretty damn good for their size, much better than the Sonos ones they replaced.

This is exactly what I did. Then I called them "Downstairs" in Alexa and now I can control them through my Echo Show.

LOL, I just realized.... I'm bouncing between diagnosing the issue and posting on here.

Sorry, I missed the point being the physical speaker volume buttons, not the app. But even in the group display I show, you can adjust each speaker volume independently to a degree if you don’t use the group volume slider. I bet someone can think of a use case ;)

My ultimate goal was "SIMPLIFY" as much as possible playing music in this area.... No one in my home likes to putter around with the music apps, I'm literally the only one that knows how to play music through out the house. This was one of the problems the Sonos system, no one wanted to use the app...

So these A10's with the favorites button seemed like a good idea (paired) but the volume not grouping them together is a deal breaker, that's just incredibly counterintuitive...

I do have a pair of the new A10's (WiiM edition, dark grey) but they are already set up in different rooms, and we wanted the light grey for this particular room.

My WiiM app look like this:

And the Audio Pro App:

I'm not sure what's going on with them... I've ungrouped and re-grouped through each app separately...
Honestly I've lost interest due to the silly physical volume issue, was trying to avoid hours of tinkering.

I'll probably just throw a single C10 WiiM edition in here instead and just call it quits.

I believe that if you ungroup the AudioPro app and create a group in the WiiM app, you can adjust the volume of the two speakers at the same time.

Yeah I gave up tinkering with these.... The oversight on the physical volume button between the pair is unforgivable, I honestly don't comprehend that and I can only assume people who purchase the A10's (non WiiM) just dont pair them L/R???

Anyway, to further annoy me I couldn't even do a factory reset per their instructions (holding the "Connect" button for 10 seconds) as it did nothing... I had to use the Audio Pro app and choose factory reset from there.

This is not a great experience with the brand so far.

I would prefer to keep the volume buttons specific to the individual speaker, and adjust each one separately, and certainly wouldn't want one speaker to be able to alter the other.

For a stereo pair that is about 4 feet from each other?

So you are okay with the left being on Volume 2 and the right being on Volume 10???

I don't know why you would have one on 2 and the other on 10, but I would adjust them so they were similar, but in your case, I would stand in the middle, and adjust one with each hand. I have previously used a pair of RIVA speakers in L & R mode. and they were approximately 3' apart.
