Beta Test: Add Surrounds

Hi WiiM Community,

We’re looking for beta testers to try the new Add Surrounds experience. Support for adding a Center channel will be introduced in a later update.

What’s included in this beta​

• Add a WiiM streamer or amplifier as surround speakers with a simplified setup flow.
• Current beta firmware supports WiiM Ultra as the primary device.
• Surround channel assignments are remembered when surrounds become active.
• The channel memory improvement also applies to other Persistent Groups.

How to join the beta​

1. Update the WiiM Home app to v3.5.1 or later.
2. For WiiM Ultra (front soundstage or surrounds):
   Go to Device Settings → Device Info → Join Beta Testing, then select Version 5.2.807549.
3. For WiiM Sound / Sound Lite (surround speakers):
   Go to Device Settings → Device Info → Join Beta Testing, then select Version 5.2.807231.
