Ongoing Beta Beta Test: Qobuz Connect

Has anyone here had successful contact with the qobuz beta team in the last few days? I wrote three emails to the connectbeta email since december. No reaction so far.
I haven't reached out to them since earlier in December, but the Qobuz Club private forum for the Qconnect beta would likely be a better place to inquire. And tapping Jane (the moderator) might help?

Good luck with that I sent a message @jane and 18 days later I am still waiting to get my account deleted

Yes, my question is about getting access to that Qobuz Club private forum 😉

You will have got a link in the beta email but just go here https://www.qobuz.com/signup

I‘m a registered member of Qobuz.
I‘m a registred member of Qobuz Club forum
I‘m a member of the Qobuz/WiiM beta test program
I have and use the Qobuz beta app.
Qobuz Connect works wih my WiiM Pro Plus

The only thing I don‘t have is access to that Qobuz Club beta test private forum. And I don‘t want to register again anywhere. I just want to given access. They have all my data needed to to that.

The only thing they have to do is give me access. But no one seems to read any e-mails. Really unhappy with Qobuz‘ communication. Or should I say non-communication?

Just out of curiosity, what happens when you click the link to the Qconnect Club site that is included in the "Welcome to the Qobuz Connect Beta Program!" email you should have received around December 17th? I think they pre-approved access for everyone to whom they sent that email.

From what I'm hearing, Qconnect is working quite well on all the streaming devices being tested (Denon, Marantz, Eversolo, and Mac/Windows machines) I'm aware of, and for the most part it's working well on my WiiM devices...with the exception of WiiM groups, which I'll be testing further to try and isolate when/how the distortion issue I reported occurs. While I'm not sure about the root cause, I have a hunch the fix will require collaboration between both WiiM's and Qobuz's development teams. While Qobuz has issued 3 successive beta app builds (on Android; dunno about iOS), I'm a little surprised WiiM hasn't updated any device firmware since 12/23...and has still not provided beta firmware for the A10/C10 products, despite their hardware reportedly being capable of supporting Qconnect.

A registration form appears. But I don't want to be registrated again because l am afraid losing my beta tester status.

I don't think that will happen, but I don't recall the details what was asked for when I accessed that Club link. What I do know is that I have only one Qobuz identity, and it's used to authorize my access to the Club site overall, including the beta forum, and that ID is asked for every time I initiate access to Qobuz Club. Perhaps someone else here has a clearer memory of initially accessing the restricted Qconnect forum.

You should have been brought to this webpage via an email invite:

And if you scroll down a bit you will find the invite to the Qobuz Club forum:

Click on "Join the Club" and you will be brought to the forum homepage and you should be able to access the beta forum.

I had already clicked this button at least 10 times in the last few weeks, but nothing opened.
Today I copied the link behind it and pasted it into the browser. And: It works! I can now also access the beta test subforum.
Thank you very much!

You're welcome. Probably had to do with the browser you were using. I mostly use Firefox though there are times a webpage may not fully load and I'll be forced to use Microsoft Edge.

Now that I finally got access to this ‘private space’ after weeks thanks to your friendly help, I am quite disappointed!

I had expected that there would be a dialogue between QConnect beta testers AND the developers from Qobuz team. But so far I only see normal posts that have been answered by other users - or not. Nothing more!

Somehow I had feared this, because Qobuz has never been characterised by very open communication.

The introductory text to the Beta Tester Forum seems rather inappropriate as long as there are only monologue. Communication is not a one-way street!

I understand your frustration and agree. I thought there would be more direct feedback from developers as well. I'm also a bit frustrated as I've spent more time trying to be a part of the beta process than actually doing any testing that would help the developers. I'm still waiting for a firmware update from WiiM that would allow me to test Qobuz Connect with my WiiM Pro. Maybe they don't want me to be a part of it or the testing queue is filled or some error occurred when registering. In any case, I'm not upset, just a bit confused.

On the funny side I was traveling in my car yesterday and just wanted to listen to my Qobuz playlist. Unfortunately I spent more time parked trying to figure out why I was getting an "Audio Paused" warning when running Qobuz Beta under Android Auto. I couldn't adjust the volume though I could when using the radio. Technology, bah. :)

It is still the early stages in the beta test. In time communication will probably improve. Hang in there. :)

Yep, it would be nice if someone like David Craff were participating. A couple of folks have suggested useful add-on features for Qobuz to consider, and would love to hear his feedback. As far as the beta goes, though, nearly all the experiences that users have reported about their testing has been surprisingly positive and uneventful, except for the WiiM oddness that I and others have mentioned. I'm still not finished trying various things to narrow down where the issue may lie, but perhaps I'll have something to report later today or tomorrow. If I could have it work with multiroom as it does with a single WiiM device, that would be great. As it stands today, though, when I'm using Qconnect with my Ultra or Pro, it's as flawless as Tidal Connect -- only the audio quality of the music from Qobuz is a tad better -- less processed-sounding -- to my ears.

Is QConnect Qobuz’s official name for Qobuz Connect? I’d find it confusing if they did as that term has confused others in the past who’ve been told that it doesn’t mean Qobuz Connect, just the page in the app where you can connect to target devices over a range of protocols.
