Bought used Ultra, no phono grounding adapter, help with availability appreciated…

I bought a Ultra used, excellent condition, works great and it had everything with it except the phono grounding adapter. Seller can’t find it. Probably pitched it or something.

Reached out to support. They said they don’t sell it individually and referred me to look for a similar product on Amazon. I did and I can’t find it there or anywhere else. Perhaps I just dont know what I’m looking for being a noob and all. Any help would be appreciated !

Looked like 4mm when I laid it on my ruler. Are you confusing it with the trigger socket which I think might be 3mm on the Ultra while it was 2.5mm on earlier models

What a strange reply from support

Cant be that hard to lift that lazy ass off the officechair and go to thw productionarea to get an adapter and mail you for free. Thats just normal customerservice for a new WiiM-owner whos’s probably going to buy many more WiiM-products in the future

The “lazy ass”might need to get off the office chair in Newark, California and go to the production area that’s probably based in some factory in China… Support won’t have easy access to component parts in the manner you describe…

Ok maybe I was a little rough, but in 2024 we have email - so it should be no problem for the support to give a message to production/assembly to mail one banana-screw to a unfortunate WiiM-owner.

In the initial email I sent, they proceded to tell me I could buy a WiiM Ultra directly on Amazon. Gee thanks. So then I spelled the situation all out again and they sent this:

“We apologize, but we do not sell these items separately. We recommend searching for similar products directly on Amazon, as shown in the picture.”

I now realize you don’t have the phono adapter. With that being said, yes I would try that link because I can’t find that adapter and that plug looks small enough for the female end. It’s worth a shot.

I was wrong.

I just checked my Wiim Ultra and a normal 4mm banana plug fits the Phono ground socket. So you can just buy a simple banana plug with a screw terminal to connect your ground wire from the turntable.

I’d be a little disappointed if WiiM circled an object in a picture and said go to Amazon. It would be nice if we got some info on size from WiiM.

Sure enough…that’s exactly what happened! Maybe they didn’t want to help me because I bought it used. Who knows.

I do want to say that I appreciate anyone who chimed in on this post. Figured it was worth a shot and I’d see if I got any replies. It is extremely appreciated. Good to know there is a pretty active forum for what are kind of niche products.

Im hoping to really dive into this thing when I have some time off around U.S. Thanksgiving.
