So I have recently taken advantage of the Black Friday Amazon deal and bought an Ultra and Vibelink combo. My question is can I connect my BK subwoofer directly to the Vibelink using the High Level inputs rather than use the Low level input from the Ultra as the Low level input of the sub is already taken up by the LFE output of my AV Receiver. I have read that this is questionable as the Vibelink is Class D but was wondering if anyone else has tried this?

I'm not sure it's a good idea to connect the sub (or any speaker) to two amps at the same time, even if only one is on at a time.
Maybe it's ok if you have to manually switch the sub's input so it only ever "sees" one comnection.
Edit: really, the important thing is that each amp doesn't 'see' the other amp as part of the circuit.

I agree with the comments made, I have a Denon 3800H and I connect my Wiim Ultra via optical and I use the RCA pre outs into external amps. I use the Wiim Ultra just for streaming and nothing else. May I recommend that if your AV Receiver has pre outs then perhaps use the Vibelink for your main speakers and connect the Wii Ultra via optical?
The BK range of subs are capable of both HL and LL inputs being used from the same source or two different sources at the same time that way you can connect both an AV receiver for movie LFE by LL input and a stereo amp for music by HL input. This is how my systems were set up using my previous amp which was Class AB.
I like to keep things separate
Cool, if they are specifically capable of a dual connection that's great.

Why/how would the class of amplifier affect the compatibility? It’s more dependent upon how the sub handles HL + LL connections, I thought?and the BK elec models are designed to be used in this way - shared by two systems

The negative speaker terminal of Class D amplifiers doesn't tend to be ground which causes issues with subwoofer connection.

I contacted the Manufacturer of my class D amp (Nordacoustics) about the connection to my REL at high level and they told i was OK to connect this way but it is not the case with all Class D amps, definitely worth inquring.
