I’m presently toying between the two, so reading many comments on both.

The reviews don’t seem to favour one significantly over the other, but would suggest that the Wiim Amp Ultra edges it slightly.

Looked at many speakers and thinking of pairing the Amp Ultra with speakers from Dali. These include the Kupid 83dB sensitivity and 4 Ohm, the Sonik 1 or the Oberon 1 which are both 6 Ohm and 86dB sensitivity.

My specifications are;
- One box streamer / amp
- Separate passive speakers
- Budget £1000 for streamer / amp and speakers
- Display screen on streamer / amp
- Compact size for streamer / amp
- Speakers to fit inside Kallax cube

Any thoughts of the combination of the Wiim Amp
Ultra with the above mentioned Dali speakers.

I was in a similar situation. I use Apple Music and was considering the Eversolo play. Ended up buying a WiiM amp pro for amplification and bass management for my RSL sub. Also bought an Eversolo dmp a6 gen2. Connected to the WiiM via rca. Works perfect for Apple Music high res.

Is something else using up your optical input? Probably better sounding to connect the DMP-A6 Gen2 to the WiiM Amp Pro digitally rather than analog.
