DAC in Ultra Vs DAC in Anthem AVM 70

Good morning fellow Wiim Ultra users. I am trying to figure out which unit has the better DAC, the ultra or the Anthem avm 70.

Currently use analogue out of ultra into the avm, as it also supplied a zone 2. Plans have changed so the ultra just serves one purpose so could use the digital out into the anthem.

Anybody know the specs on the DAC's?

Specs are pretty meaningless. Try them...
Analog section counts most.

I think the default for the Anthem avm 70 is to digitize the analog input (RCA). So to only use the WiiM DAC you must disabled this in the input settings.

I would probably use the Anthem avm 70 DAC and a digital output of the WiiM as the Anthem avm 70 DAC should be better than the WiiM (on paper) but try it out yourself.

Turns out the dac in the avm is the same as the ultra.

Will run optical to avm, as no point running through multiple adc
