Hello,

I recently got a WiiM Ultra, but so far my enthusiasm is somewhat limited. Perhaps that will change once I find solutions to the following issues:

  1. Bluetooth headphones (Sony 1000XM4):
Is there now a proper solution for using these, or can anyone recommend a good Bluetooth adapter?

  2. Default output for TV after standby
After listening to music with the headphones in the evening, when my wife turns on the TV the next day, the Ultra switches to the ARC input as expected — but the sound still comes through the headphones. This happens even though the ARC output is set to Cinch in the settings, and it makes no difference whether the headphones are plugged in or not.
Is there any way to set a default output or restore a standard configuration after standby?
  1. Display behaviour:
When listening to music, it’s useful to see artist and track information on the screen, while for TV the VU meter is more relevant.
Is it possible to set the display to change automatically depending on the input channel?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,

What issues are you experiencing with connecting and playing via Bluetooth headphones?
Looking for an LDAC adapter?

Are you talking Bluetooth headphones?
Typically, if the headphones are switched off, the WiiM output will not switch to the headphones.

For wired headphones connected to the Ultra's headphone output, I recommend using presets. Create a preset to switch the output, and when you've finished listening through the headphones, press the preset button to switch the output back. (Currently, there is no function to automatically switch the output when entering standby mode.)

Unfortunately, this is not possible at present, though it is a feature for which we have received numerous requests. It may become achievable through the new 'Input Sound Profile' feature, currently undergoing beta testing in Ultra.

hello and thank you for your answer.

yesterday I tried it again with my sony 1000xm4 bt headphone (after using other onces) and now i didn't had any problems?!
i saw the Fiio BT11 adapter, this should work. but i think this make no sense to controlle the wiim ultra over a mobile phone (with ldac support) to connect via bluetooth headset.

The 2. point is about wired headphones. I make this presets before, but i hoped that there is a automaticall switch
:)

3. ok
