Does Roomfit work on 5.1?

I saw the old thread but that issue claims that there’s no EQ available when playing 5.1 and I definitely have the option to set EQ when my amp ultra and amp link up and play Dolby digital.

But I definitely get mega boomy bass from my sub when watching movies so I suspect that the roomfit may not be being applied.

Is this still an issue and if so will it be fixed? If there’s no plan to fix it I’m going to have a right nightmare on my hands returning three amp ultras and one amp to different retailers.

Oh maybe it’s because I accidentally enabled bass boost on hdmi input :/

Would be good to get confirmation that it’s fixed though.

As far as I know, with Wireless Dolby, EQ and RoomFit are currently disabled.

If possible, please adjust the audio settings on the TV. You can also disable the subwoofer using the presets.

That's not correct.

EQ is an option and works with wireless dolby.

I have tested it today.

I think Roomfit may also work, but if it does not, then I am going to have to return at least two of my items as they were bought with the intent of using for 5.1 and the room correction is essential.

There's absolutely no use case for 5.1 where you don't want to use Roomfit if available.

Why would I want to disable my sub when watching 5.1 content?

If the EQ works, you should be able to apply it by manually entering the RoomFit profile values into the PEQ. Unfortunately, when I previously checked, the EQ could not be applied with Wireless Dolby. I'm not sure what the current situation is, so please do give it a try.

That makes sense and I didn’t think of that, so thanks!

Unfortunately I was incorrect. It will allow you to turn EQ on but it has no effect.

I’ve submitted a ticket via the app. Hopefully it’s a relatively simple fix.

I have already submitted a request myself, so I hope they will resolve it.🙂
