Down sampling signal

Is it better to down sample the signal with the Mini or let the external DAC do it? My integrated amp has an internal DAC that has max 24/92. I'm using Amazon HD that has music that exceeds those rates. Should I set the max rates within the Wiim app at 24/92 or set it at the max and let the integrated amp DAC do the down sampling? I actually have a Modi 3 as well that processes 24/192 but I like the sound of the 24/92 DAC better.

If you set 24/192 as the max sample rate in WiiM when the DAC only supports 24/96 I think you are asking for trouble.
WiiM setting should equal what your DAC can handle - 24/96

WiiM is not aware of your DAC limitations and will try to send the audio with the sample rate up to the max defined in the WiiM Home app. You will hear nothing if 192 kHz will be used. The only option is to set the maximum to 96 kHz. WiiM will not downsample the song in case of internet streaming services, it will ask for the suitable version instead.
