Dear Sirs:

I have a WiimPro device and I am very very happy. The performance and software development of this device is impressive. I have a question with this. I am using the DRC sofware. It works very well, and DRC routines are continuously improved. My question is, must I recalibrate the DRC when developing new versions or it is no necessary.

Best regards and congratulations to the software developers of this device.

What is DRC?

And to your question… when RC is updated, recalibration has to be redone.
Yes, but only if you want to (hopefully) take advantage of the improvements with the algorithm.

The result of any RC run at any point in time is always just a set of PEQ filters. They remain the same, no matter if WiiM change the way they are calculated or not.

As long as you are satisfied with the current set of filters there's no technical reason to redo the process.

I agree.

ps
could be annoying for wiim..
but wiim could release a measurement file rew format which could thus be easily processed..
then reintegrated into wiim peq...
in reality will not be so complicated and rew is super powerful...and free
