Doesn't the Wiim Ultra have to process the TV's digital data it to apply EQ or Room Correction?Make ticket when you encountered this problem via Wiim app and send logs with that. Maybe they can do something. But currently Wiim sends digital data throught to speakers and not process it. If they will change that, then this will possible fix issue.
With HDMI to Wiim and line out to speakers not cause issue because Wiim own DAC process material.
Nope. Based on support they passthrough this ti speakers. On this case Genelec.Doesn't the Wiim Ultra have to process the TV's digital data it to apply EQ or Room Correction?
Strange - I'm not sure I trust their Support on that, then. When I apply EQ using the Ultra, it definitely results in different audio from my Genelec speakers, which means that the Ultra must be doing more than just passing it through.... Thanks for your thoughts!Nope. Based on support they passthrough this ti speakers. On this case Genelec.
I’d say yes too. I fear the question to support or the response may have been misunderstood. If fixed volume is used, with no EQ/PEQ etc, then yes the signal is passed thru unchanged but if you use any of those features, you are telling it to change the signal.Doesn't the Wiim Ultra have to process the TV's digital data it to apply EQ or Room Correction?

We have identified the cause of the issue and will introduce a skew method in a future update to address and optimize the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.

WiiM Support
What's a skew method?I submitted a support request for the drop-out issue and received the following:
Presumably something different / better than the existing de-noising option which I thought was added for similar reasons. What's a skew method?
I suppose losing a channel completely is the ultimate denoisingPresumably something different / better than the existing de-noising option which I thought was added for similar reasons.
According to google/ai “HDMI skew refers to the time difference between signals in an HDMI cable. This time difference can cause timing errors and data dropouts”What's a skew method?
My hands are wet as I’m awaiting for the usb with sub update. I will connecf all 6 dacs in usb hub and choose the sound color each represent.
