Radio Paradise Failing this morning

This may not be relevant but note that Radio Paradise does use a regional server infrastructure to deliver its streams. Some years back i was experiencing issues using Volumio for RP in the UK that were not evident for users in other parts of the world. The track info was 2 tracks behind the audio. I had an exchange with RP support who confirmed they had a problem with their EU servers at the time. They fixed it ( probably a reboot 😇 ) and all was well

I found a beta firmware on Ultra, but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with this issue.

I guess I'll take one for the team and try it out this morning. 😬
Probably only temporarily as I'm beta testing Qobuz Connect (which I suspect Google broke on Android).

ETA: Well, the new beta appears to have fixed whatever was ailing RP on my WiiM stuff. Maybe API changes RP was making to support new 3rd party functionality temporarily cocked things up for us Americans.

That’s probably the “new” radio paradise feature they mentioned in the roadmap - with rewind etc iirc
Can we rewind the radio? That sounds like a time machine.

Can we even fast forward?🤗

It’s added support for the two newer stations and tbh I only tried skipping forward a track. Seems to work ok. It also allows you to login but as it doesn’t have a link for your RP favourites nor a means of scoring the track, I don’t see what account linkage offers.

I’ve switched back to the public release firmware as I play RP thru LMS

I can foresee a path forward to enable song skipping -- maybe even station switching -- via voice on WiiM devices, especially through Home Assistant voice integration (i.e., without needing to use a voice-capable remote control).
