Firmware Version 4.8.514848

So there is a chance you're on the beta now and you won't get public updates until removed from the whitelist.
Are you saying that being a beta tester ties you to a particular beta release, or that there aren't beta issues for every release?

I'll put in another request then to be removed from the beta programme, and when I hear nothing and don't see an update I'll put in a request to Amazon.

I don't know if both scenarios - being tied to the particular release or being tied to the beta branch - are possible. For sure there are no beta releases available preceding every public release. You will be removed from the whitelist on your request eventually but it can take quite long time. And that's the reason I do not ask for beta releases BTW.

We should all demand that firmware updates be Opt-in. Stop forced automatic fw updates.

Hi Team, Adias

I'll bring this (opt-in upgrade) to our product team for more discussion. Many aspects are making the opt-in upgrade more complicated than we thought.
1. For users who don't use our companion app, we may be unable to notify them of the firmware update.
2. We have obligations with service providers to fix the bugs, including maintaining the security update and new APIs.

In our current discussion, we may provide an option allowing users to revert to a specific firmware version. I hope it can help both of us.

Thank you!

Personally I think the ability to roll-back to a specific, previous FW version would be a great thing. ;)
In case the latest version gave me problems I could go back to the version that made everything work better. At least waiting for fixes.

This is the feature we have been waiting reverting from previous update in case new one don’t work well.
