first tracks cut out briefly on playback

My WiiM Pro just got the latest update (4.8.620450) today, and now the first tune of an album (flac files on file server, or from spotify) skips/cuts out very briefly at about the third second in from the beginning. Later tunes don't seem to do this. Has anyone had anything similar going on?

I rebooted the WiiM (but not the router yet ... has to wait until tomorrow). No change.

My WiiM gets input from ethernet, output is via toslink to an SMSL SU-1 dac.

I filed a ticket with Support, but thought I might get some ideas from you folks, too.

False alarm maybe ....

After toggling Fade-in/out from off>on>off, turning SPDIF-in auto-sensing off, rebooting my file server, and rebooting the router, the "hiccup" is gone, at least for now. I didn't test at each step, but apparently whatever it was, it wasn't the WiiM firmware. When I have some free time, I will see if I can reproduce the conditions that caused it.
