Hello,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue with my WiiM Ultra:

When I wake up the device from standby and start playing music, the volume is extremely loud and cannot be adjusted—neither via the app nor the hardware buttons. Only after unplugging the device from power does the volume control work normally again.

I already updated to latest firmware.
Wiim ultra is connected via line out to avtive speakers.

Hi

I don't recall ever hearing of such a issue..
Please submit a ticket via the feedback section of the WiiM app.
(WiiM app -> More -> Feedback)

Your device logs are sent to help resolve issues.

Does the volume button on the Remote also not work?
Also, if you turn the volume knob or move the volume bar in the app, does the volume change on screen? (Or is it fixed and does not move?)

The volume button is also not working (no change in volume output, but the volume is change on screen.

This problem only occur after stand by, and not every time

I already submit a ticket

Hopefully the support team will solve your problem soon.

Btw, is it possible that the issue could be caused by the active speakers?

Are both the Ultra and the speakers connected via RCA ports?

If possible, try connecting the Ultra to another device and see if the same issue occurs. (e.g. devices with digital inputs, Bluetooth headphones, etc.).

Yes, active speakers are connected via cinch (rca). Audio output in wiim app is set via line out (active speakers could also be connected via blutooth, but i choose rca)

I also tried a full reset. After that Volume is working again, but the problem will occur after the next stand by cylce. As soon as i switch source from Tidal to optical in (tv) or vice versa.

Since you mentioned changing inputs… do you have any pre-gain settings? If yes, set those to zero or some reasonable amount.
