I have a Sony camera battery charger (model BC-TRX) with a USB 5V 1.5A output. I found that after using it as a power supply for Wiim Pro, the sound quality has been significantly improved, especially the bass dynamics have been significantly expanded.

Thanks for sharing. Did you try any other power supplies? I'm using ifi ipower at the moment for my WiiM Pro

I have other 4 power supplies ( iphone 5w, amazon 9w,wiim pro 10w,Samsung 15w) I compared them with the sony battery charger, found only iphone (Occasionally) and sony reached the max 2.2 w of power consumption, other 3 power supplies their max power consumption is 1.9w.

I have several AOHI GaN chargers. The chargers from this manufacturer are very high performance. Many charging adapters have a mosquito buzzing noise coming from inside, but with the AOHI I can hear nothing when I put my ear close to it 🙂

However, I do not notice any change in the sound of my Pro with this charger. At all.

I just want to reduce environmental noise. For chargers with poor performance, internal noise can be heard from a distance of 1 meter.

My DAC and amplifier are connected by Balanced ,I can't hear any noise from speakers almost I found the difference of these chargers is sound quality especially for bass and dynamics

Hi
I've been using my pro+ with battery pack, even the batt pack has regulator inside it , I found bass is more dynamic and EQ in pro+ turned off , the battery power wiim pro+ and Airist DAC , every night around one hour ( one album ) , and it nearly a month now without charging, this combo sound good, better than the plug pack supplied with DAC and Pro+ , the whole combo fed into Nait5 , and KEF 104 model 2 speaker.
