Google Voice Commands and Ultra

Well maybe this conversation will help me with answers. All I get is blank stares from support. I have a Ultra, it plays via Chromecast just fine, since they rolled me back to the previous version. My Ultra shows up in Google Home App. It's assigned to my home and my Livingroom. When I call out a command "ok Google pause (device name). Google does its thing replies back that it heard and understands the command and knows of a device by the name I called out and repeats the command. Google will say it can't find a device if it can't send a command to it. All that happens and the Ultra does nothing. Tried different commands like stop, change input, nothing. Google never complains it can't find the Ultra but can never get the Ultra to do anything. Tech support just keeps sending me links on how to do it. I have done everything I was told and yet the Ultra won't comply. Any help would be great. The link shown at the bottom of the picture won't do anything either.

I have the WiiM Ultra Integrated with Google assistant as you have. It reacts as expected to all voice commands.

Does your WiiM Ultra Chromecast integration name and the name you see/use in Google assistant match?

I will have to look when I get home, I am almost 100 percent sure it does not. What exact commands is it designed to respond to?

That's interesting.

Ultra 5.2.628942 1.56.310669 tech data.jpg

5.2.628942 is actually the latest official firmware release. It's not any "previous version".

But the Cast firmware 1.56.310669 is not a version number usually associated with Google Cast for Audio 2.0. It's the typical version number of a current ChromeCast built-in implementation.

I conclude that WiiM is well able to supply the Ultra with a non Google Cast lite firmware ... interesting ...
