Have been using Grado SR80X for a few months now. After getting used to the 'Grado sound' i believe this is my kind of tast. These are quite compact on ear headphones, wich i prefer when listening outdoors. This is true Handcrafted Plastics® made in Brooklyn, USA . Own also other, bigger, more expensive headsets, but this Grado is the most used, not only the sound but also the small form factor.

Wondering of their higher priced models are worth an upgrade, i.e. GW100x, SR225x

I have the Grado GW100X headphones, and really like them. They can be used with or without a cable.
I was wondering how they would compare with the SR80X, SR125X, and SR225X models.

I had the Gw100x long term and also tried the Sr225x for a week, unfortunately not at the same time, I would say that the Sr225x were slightly better all around sound, the same overall sound signature tho, not a huge step up but noticeable.

probably will take a listening at a dealer, for 1:1 comparison. A good sound is subjective to me
